Turbulent week

Turbulent week

The best thing that happened was the arrival of my EEE PC 901 on Monday.  I spent most of the day working on updating it and getting it to where I wanted and accidentally deleted the Windows XP installation right before going to bed.. D’oh.

On Tuesday my fixed gear GT-Gutterball bike was christened Angharad. My time at the market went well.. the last few things were planned for Gulfport Goes Green just under two weeks away.. Rain delayed my return home..

Wednesday saw me leave Ecco, twitter sms message delivery failed, and I deleted files from Kayaknature during an upgrade process. So a mixed box overall.

On Thursday there was a job interview for a contract position with P.O.D.S.

I was back to Gulfport on Friday to check out a boat and pick up my last check from Ecco. Yay for $$ to pay my phone bill :-) The boat was not really what I wanted and I think very overpriced… I’m looking for something more of a blue water capable craft. A good point for the day was that I was finally able to restore KayakNature’s deleted files.

So it felt like a turbulent week. Weather, activities and general things that happened. It took too many days to write this after the week concluded.. so either need to take better daily note, white it sooner or hope for a less turbulent week in the future ;-)

WOW! My laptop didn’t come with ears!! Do you think it’s because of the fact that it’s a work Mac and not my personal one :P ?

*sidenote* the only main costume thing coming up that I know of right now is DragonCon..the big huge one in ATLANTA on Labor Day weekend. I will be in attendance, but not for the entire thing. We’re looking to just go for a day for me to get in the Leia photo shoot they do every year. As that’s my 30th bday wish. Heh.

After that – there is Screamfest/Spooky Empire in Orlando (www.spookyempire.com).
    Enjoy!

Thanks for the info about Dragon-con it’s on the radar.. and hoping to make it this year….
I remember an animae con in Tampa around this time last year… any thoughts on what it was?

Guess it’s time for costume planning….

As for the ears.. yeah I got lucky with that one… I think if you look hard you can find a few of that model on the internet!
