Storm signs

It is getting warmer and more humid here in St. Petersburg. That means storm season is approaching!  Today was the first sign that thunderstorms are coming back to this bay area.

I was riding back from Gulfport today and watched the storm building.  In less than 30 minutes the sky when from no signs of bad weather to the storm in the photo.  While thunder was not yet audible I imagine it was only a matter of time.

Curiously enough, at the random spot where I chose to take the picture I was approached by a guy identifying himself as “E” asking if I wanted any weed.  When I declined he said he could find me anything I needed and that for me an 8-ball would only be $80.  I can’t make my mind up if that is a good or bad thing.

Lastly as I neared the intersection of the Pinellas Trail and 22nd St. S. I encountered one of the GPS photo mapping vehicles.   Unsure as to who had hired it.  It looked like a green Honda Accord and no other special markings save the 4 large cameras mounted on the roof.  I tried to take a course that would have it passing me… but it turned off.   There go my hopes of having my butt geographically documented.

:-)
