Serenity Garden

One of the aspects I liked most about San Francisco was the unexpected coming across of places and things. A piece of art stuck there, an older video game set up to play for free, every usable space was gone over in some manner.

Here in St. Petersburg the volume of empty and unused space makes it so such things are disappointedly uncommon. Imagine then my delight on finding this little serenity garden tucked between buildings along a street that I routinely traverse! I’m not sure what has kept me from previously finding the garden, perhaps the fact that I was walking as opposed to riding my bike or maybe it was the time of day.

Regardless, I was a nice surprise find something in my neighborhood and I’ll be hoping to find more places on future explorations. I did find a space I’d like to use for a project of my own… all that I need do is figure out what to do with the space. A little paint, some wood and…? Stay tuned!
