This weekend I gained a set of complementary presents…  First off it’s citrus season here in Florida and the oranges and grapefruit are everywhere.  I’ve been given access to quite the trove of fresh grapefruit.. but then the question is what to do with it after you peel it (aside from eating it)  Enter the second present, a juicer!  I tried it out tonight and it makes yummy juice from the gifted grapefruit.  I get about 4 ounces from a softball sized fruit.  The taste is amazing!  Tonight’s test run worked well.  I’m all set for tomorrow or the next day to process the stack of fruit into juice and the see what I can cook with it, mix with it, and otherwise find novel ways to consume it. On that note off to surf the Internet for grapefruit recipes!
