WiR: Clam Bayou, Manatee, & Cookies

Monday – Converted my GT Gutterball (still needs a name) over to fixed gear and took it out for a spin. I found Round Lake and sign indicating Hooping takes place every Sunday at 1PM.  I’m hoping to make it this coming Sunday and see who and how many show up for how long.  Soon as I get a few older projects cleaned up I’m planning to begin bringing music to hoop by.  Taking the cats for a walk was a humorous adventure.

Tuesday – Clam Bayou cleanup with CW44 crew (Photo proof right here!)and AYCE snow crab at the Casual Clam with Kim filling the role as our server. Had a good meandering ride with Shelley back to the house before heading out to pick up Margarita fixins. They were yummy, made from Milagro tequila and agave nectar. We started the first episode of Blakes 7 while enjoying the drinks, but decided to watch the last episodes of The Prisoner.  We got through #16 and have one to go.   While in Gulfport earlier in the day I volunteered as Window Boss of the Merchant’s window at the Casino.

Wednesday – R/V Geo Arctic was spotted at the pier by the airport and USF marine institute.  I saw the end of of Babylon 5 and too a brief look before passing on Crusades. (ooo bad) Bacon Choc Chip Cookie Dough was yummy and very filling. I was also happy to find Brilliant Jeni online and she gave some good pointers for working online.

Thursday – Started off with a phone call from Thea who was on her way to a job interview in Connecticut. (keep your fingers crossed for her) In the afternoon I was back at Clam Bayou helping Kurt Z prepare to show a  drag queen about the bayou.  On my way to Gulfport I passes an accident on 28th st s.  A tanker truck had flipped and later reports had it leaking almost 4,000 gallons of fuel.   I did discover some coconuts at The Outpost that I can use for bonsai planters.  Wahoo! My design for the Gulfport Market promo cards was approved so time to get them off to the printer.  Shelley and I biked up to SweetBay for some staples and I picked up a baguette to go with the goat butter I had at home.  What a tasty feast it made, nom nom nom. While I was working later that evening Angus ran over me climbing up my neck and leaving four parallel scratches from a back paw.  Ouch.  I started watching the original Twilight Zone and also the first episode of Andromeda.  I prefer Rod Serling over Kevin Sorbo. I also cleaned all the dishes. Go me! (well except for the George Forman grill.  Anyone want a slightly used GF Grill?)

Friday – Manatees!!!!!  My first time seeing them in the wild.  Lunch was Shelley’s special keep you healthy spicy chicken soup.  H1N1 beware we are coming at ya gunz blazing!  Working on the score for a short film.  Debut on Tuesday!!!  A made another batch of cookie dough today, Peanut Butter Chocolate chip.  Tonight is adventure night so Shelley and I are planning on beer and food at Peg’s Cantina and meandering about the Gulfport Artwalk.

Hope you had a great week too!

More to learn!
