Chillits 2007

Chillits 2007

Outside of Willits, California there exists a small private retreat where Chillits is held. I had the chance to go in 2007 with Calamity. Calamity was selected as one of the DJ’s for that year’s event.

It was the second time I ran into a number of the people who were at the Field Day gathering earlier in the year. I had a good time hanging out with (not a comprehensive list) Hickory and Taylor and meeting DJ Amber, Jette and Eric and Family. (More about them later) Also really enjoyed a set by Timmmi on Saturday afternoon.

I walked through kiwi vines, tried to appropriate PyroKitten’s red sunglasses, found out (to the delight of all onlookers) that the storage pond has a stepped sloped slippery bottom. I also learned that the acrylic ball I use for contact juggling has a focal length equal to its diameter. Meaning that if you set it on something flammable while exposed to the sun you’ll set fire to whatever the ball is sitting upon. That blue blanket ended up with several burn marks.

Having return a week earlier from Burning Man this was the perfect relaxation and recuperation for being a week in a dusty desert.

You know, i really enjoy reading about you and your life.
It is soooo much different from my life and style of living.
this thing called “Social Media” really has some benefits.
It allows me to see the world through others, to experience a different life style without all the problems that one on one contact sometimes brings. Thank you for sharing and please stay safe. Gwen
