The trip began with an episode of Top Chef and the concept of molecular gastronomy, the science of cooking. Alinea is the top restaurant in the US with a molecular gastronomy focus. Dinner tonight begins at 9:00 PM.
Saturday should be filled with exploring the Magnificent Mile area of Chicago, its museums, the waterfront and a visit to the Billy Goat Tavern for “Cheezborger! No fries, cheeps! No Pepsi, Coke!”
Chicago is expecting a high of 43°F today with temperatures at the freezing mark overnight. I know I have a coat around here somewhere. I have until 2PM to find it.
