An Aardvark, A Calamity, and trash

An Aardvark, A Calamity, and trash

On Wednesday I saw my first armadillo in the wild.  I was so excited at the sighting that my brain would say only aardvark for some reason.  but in reality is so was an armadillo.   Three in fact all around the southern end of the St. Petersburg Airport.  All I’ve to find now is an otter, alligator, and a manatee in the wild.

Shelley celebrated her Birthday on Wednesday and on that line we went to the Oyster Catcher restaurant in Tampa for a delicious sunset dinner.  She had the blackened grouper and I the whole snapper.  Crab cakes, oysters, and key lime pie rounded out my meal.

One of the upstairs neighbors still does not want to take out their trash.  It has been well over a month.   I left a message with the landlord on Wednesday and will be following up early next week.  I did even ask them in person to take it out and their response was to add to the pile and dump beans off the second story porch onto the walk.

Sent a certified letter to the previous landlord contesting their claim to the deposit.  Not sure what the next step is… probably  make an appointment in court.

Thursday found me at the Gulfport Merchant’s Association social.  It was fun.. finally meeting a few more people and found a few new job prospects.

With spring around the corner I’ve been watching the traffic on lists pick up discussing summer gatherings.  I find myself really missing the social aspect of living in California. Specifically the weekend campout.   My goal for the next few weeks is to find something similar in this area.. and today ran into someone who mentioned a camping trip next weekend…. alas I am going to be  in Chicago but the next one!

Farscape was a big part of my week.  I kept an episode on while I was working…

Creatively it was a little challenging this week.   I made only some progress on last week’s two new client sites…   Logo design was tough and I am still not pleased.  As for my personal sites… no progress at all.  I’ve got to get the text message site up next week..  Running out of time there if I still want to make the May 1 deadline.  I did have a thought to begin planning a conference on breastfeeding.   Look for more info on that is it approaches reality.

For better or worse that was my week. :-)
